OO This P.M. I went to Lab then I went down town with Helen Merchant and we got the favors and ordered the green carnations from the Banquet. Oh dear! I wish I had my toast written I can’t think of a thing to say Oh woe is me and weary is my lot. I dread going to the Banquet alone too.
Our Kappa Pi program tonight was given by the Sophomores and it was fine it was on the life & work of Kate Douglas Wiggin Betty Stetsons book review of “Susanna and Sue” and Marg. Petertylls reading from Bird’s Xmas Carol were especially fine. Prof. Bacon was critic and he was very good.

OO. This P.M. I went to play practice and after that thought it was perfectly beautiful out doors, and thought I was crazy to play B.B. with a bunch of the Juniors, still I came home and sat me down and wrote a very dry toast for the Banquet.

At 5:45 I went down to the library to work with Esther on our Debate “Home Rule for Ireland” we thought we were so clever to get the same topic we had used once before but I’ve lost half my papers and we don’t know anything about it! We practically wasted a couple of hours and then came home.
Oh I forgot to tell the most exciting event of the day “Dad” Hall asked me to go to the Banquet with him. I was so surprised. Well of course I said yes I like him he’s so huge and he’s captain of the Football team.
